NOAA is developing and promoting many strategies to save on energy costs in its  facilities:

Design and Construction - Coming soon

Energy Star Products  -- by purchasing equipment that has been branded with the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label, you can be assured you are purchasing energy efficient products

Shared Energy Savings (SES) -- cost-savings may be achieved through partnerships and investments from the utilities; ESCO and Super ESPC information

Utility Deregulation/Restructuring

Renewable Energy -- new renewable sources of energy, such as solar, prove to be effective and cost-efficient
