Ergonomics

Ergonomic Survey:

Many people in NOAA work with computers every day. This illustrates simple and inexpensive principles that will help you create a safe and comfortable computer workstation for yourself. Remember there is no single “correct” posture or arrangement of components that will fit everyone. However, there are basic design goals, some of which are listed on the NOAA Ergonomic Assessment checklist, to consider when setting up or reconfiguring your computer workstation or performing computer-related tasks.

Use the NOAA Ergonomics Assessment Survey checklist can help you create a safe and comfortable computer workstation. The Ergonomic Assessment Survey will also be used in conjunction with a site ergonomic assessment to determine what if any equipment or Computer Workstation changes would be needed. Contact your local Field Safety Manager (FSM) if needed for assistance.
