Offices' Wastes and Hazardous Materials Management
Activities Costs (operation and maintenance costs)
Environmental
Management (includes NPR "Environmental Cost
Accounting" items)

Program
management costs include personnel and labor costs of
environmental managers and their staffs, travel and per
diem, office supplies, computer hardware and software,
leases, permits and fees, and other administrative costs
involving resources for personal and organizational
development, communication, and training. Other personnel
costs, based on estimated time dedicated to environmental
program, and contract personnel. (Some examples are:
Consumable items, annual fees for permits, disposal fees for
sewer and hazardous wastes, specialized job/site training,
protective clothing and equipment, annual storage tank
tightness testing, environmental compliance audits.) (National

Decisionmaking Through Environmental Cost Accounting -
"environmental costs include such expenses as hazardous
