NOAA
Employee Safety and Environmental Awareness Course
As
part of our on-going
commitment to maintaining a safe working environment, and to promote
improved
safety awareness by all NOAA employees and partners, we are announcing
the
annual web-based NOAA Employee Safety and Environmental Awareness
Course for 2009. All NOAA employees are
required to complete
the course by June 30, 2009. Contractor
employees are encouraged to take the course, unless otherwise directed
by their
NOAA Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR).
The
course is designed to provide
a basic overview of safety and environmental compliance requirements,
while
helping NOAA employees and contractors use safe working practices and
ensure
environmental compliance. The course
should take between 30-45 minutes to complete.
The
test questions are designed
to reinforce the knowledge of individual chapters, and once the course
is
successfully completed, a training certificate is available. A copy of the
certificate should be provided to your supervisor. An
automated tracking system will monitor
successful completion of the course.
NOAA personnel who have already taken the class since
December 1,
2008, need NOT
take this class again during 2009.
If
you have any questions about
the 2009 NOAA Employee Safety and Environmental Awareness Course,
please

Division, at

Technical
Issues:
If you experience any problems with your account, such as an expired password, please use the Live Support link available, without the need to log in, on the appropriate CLC Welcome Page. When you use Live Support, you will see a “chat” box. Please enter your e-mail address, and you should receive your password within 24 hours. Please DO NOT send repeat requests to Live Support. This will create duplicate requests which will be handled on a first come, first served basis. For other support issues, please send your inquiries to CLC.NOAAHelp@noaa.gov. Also, the practice of responding to end user requests in Administrators’ personal email boxes has been discontinued. All requests for end user support should now use one of these two methods for enhanced tracking and reporting. Remember, multiple requests for support will only create more tickets. It will not get you support faster. We thank you for your patience.
