MANAGING SAFETY: SYSTEMS THAT WORK FOR SENIOR LEADERS
In VADM Lautenbacher’s
December 2, 2002 memorandum, Safety Program Enhancements for FY 2003,
there is a requirement for SES, GS-15 and ZA/ZP-05
supervisors who manage or supervise 10 or more employees to attend the
following two-day DuPont safety training. For over 30 years, DuPont
Safety Resources has
been helping companies improve business performance while protecting
the lives and livelihoods of employees and contract workers. DuPont has
developed a two-day seminar, Managing Safety: Systems that Work for Senior
Leaders, to help senior managers integrate safety into their everyday
leadership activities:
Field Audit Training: Learning safety audit techniques and skills
Auditing: Analysis of audit information to understand the safety climate
and determine strengths and weaknesses
Leadership: Maintaining standards, involving employees; the use of tools
to improve safety in workplace
Investigating Incidents: Participating in incident investigations; ensuring
that investigations result in effective and realistic actions
NOAA has negotiated
a discounted tuition rate for a NOAA specific course, $999.00 per person,
which will be paid by the respective Line and Staff Offices. To reserve
